THE WORLD OF SCIENTISTS
The children are introduced to groundbreaking scientific discoveries by such leading historical figures as Galileo and Isaac Newton, learning the theory behind each and building their own tools and models. At the end of the year, they work in small teams to create their own original inventions.
The children learn about good nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and the human anatomy, use basic medical instruments, and receive CPR training.
APP AND UP
The children gain technological skills, practice creative “outside the box” thinking, and learn about business entrepreneurship. At the end of the year, they develop an app and a marketing plan.
The children hone the logical skills needed for studying any software programing language, design algorithms, and build computer games. Developed in partnership with the Appleseeds Academy.
COMICS AND COMPUTERIZED ANIMATION
The children learn about advanced computer software, comic art, draftsmanship, and computerized graphics, all of which they then use to create animated cartoons expressing their inner worlds.
The children are taught the basics of robotics, build computer-driven Lego robots, write computer code to control the robots, and visit the robotics labs at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Developed in partnership with the Technion.
The children learn about the field of 3D printing and technology. Our newest bus, named in memory of board member, Amy Lipton, is installed with XLN 3D printers from Reut Systems & Technology, made possible through a Bar Mitzvah gift by Noah Helfstein – part of UJA Federation of NY’s Give a Mitzvah-Do a Mitzvah program.
