Ofanim students.

Ofanim brings approved supplemental education directly to children in areas where schools are limited and outside educational opportunities do not exist. By outfitting buses with state-of-the-art facilities that travel to them, we literally bring the educational opportunities to these kids' backyards.

Ofanim believes each child has the ability to succeed regardless of where they are from or their socioeconomic level. Ofanim acts as a motivator, using its mobile classrooms and other enrichment activities to expose children to new experiences and empower them to make full use of their capabilities.

Through its mobile classrooms, Ofanim drives education to children in outlying areas, including children living in absorption centers. Ofanim reaches children in the Negev and is just beginning to drive to Israel’s North, to areas where children’s lives have been disrupted due to war in addition to their everyday hardships. The buses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and each bus is dedicated to a specific subject. Currently, Ofanim has four buses on the road, and each specializes in a different subject: computers, math, electronics and art. Other buses are in development, including one for English, Hebrew and other subjects crucial to a child’s advancement. Children receive instruction after school from trained graduate students in the area who serve as instructors and mentors, always empowering the children to dream big and achieve.
